Fun Ticker Symbols

Last updated: July 18, 2025

These ETFs have fun and fitting ticker symbols that make it just a little easier to remember what they're about.

  1. AWAY is about companies at the intersection of technology and travel. Think digital transformation of the travel industry — from online booking platforms to ride-sharing services.
  2. CALF focuses on small-cap cash cows — cash calves, if you may.
  3. CRUZ provides exposure to more than just cruises: it also includes companies in the hotel and airline industries. You still have to give them credit for the great sounding ticker symbol, though.
  4. FAN is about wind energy, as you might guess. It provides broader exposure to various aspects of the wind energy sector, however: turbine manufacturers and utilities are included.
  5. JETS provides exposure to the global airline industry. Buy this ETF and you get a piece of major carriers, regional players, and companies involved in aircraft manufacturing and airport services.
  6. JNK is about high-yield corporate bonds, also known as "junk" bonds.
  7. MOAT includes companies that are believed to possess sustainable competitive advantages, or "wide moats."
  8. NEAR as in "near-term" — which is the kind of orientation you get when the fund focuses on short-matury bonds.
  9. NOBL has to do with dividend aristocrats, which are companies that have increased their dividends for at least 25 consecutive years. It's NOBL because they're part of the nobility. Get it?
  10. YOLO is actively managed, and provides exposure to the global cannabis industry. Just a fun ticker symbol all around for an emerging and volatile industry.
